Let's Emphasize Those Evil Republicans In The Headline Rather Than The Democrat-Run AFSCME Union

The Iowa City Press-Citizen has a story today ("GOP plan targets sabbaticals for Iowa professors") about how Incoming House speaker Kraig Paulsen and GOP members want to eliminate paid sabbaticals for tenured professors at Iowa's public universities.

You know, like at the University of Iowa, where 8% of faculty are registered Republicans.

The headline is a bit of a cheap shot towards the GOP, especially since the Democrat-run AFSCME union boss is in favor of it.  This is 14 paragraphs into the story:
[the] plan is getting support from Danny Homan, president of the largest state employee union, which typically supports Democratic candidates
That's actually an easy call for Homan. There's more non-tenured faculty who have been dealing the threat of furloughs who will never ever get a paid sabbatical. Besides, it plays into Left's class-envy BS about how the "rich" need to "pay their fair share".
