A Couple Of Dumbass Libs In Ames Objected To A "Winter Tree"

From WHO-TV:
Ames High School has removed a “winter tree” from the school's cafeteria after complaints were made.

The tree was donated by local businesses and district spokesperson Valerie Terando told WHO, "The school had put up a winter tree, as a decoration for the winter dance.” The tree was decorated in ISU Cardinal and Gold colors. Terando says, from the beginning, the tree was called a "winter tree" not a "christmas tree" or a "holiday tree."

"The school received a couple of complaints," she said "so the tree was taken down." Terando said the complaints came from adults, not students, who called the tree "offensive." She says the school removed the tree after the complaint because further debate on the subject would take away from the Ames school district’s main goal of educating students.
A couple of complaints.

According to the Ames Tribune, it was a high school employee and some parent who objected to the tree.

Valerie Terando, yes you.  You idiot.  Also, you Stupidertendent Tim Taylor, you butthead.  What part of caving in to a couple of retarded reactionary assholes and overruling the Principal is "educating students"?

I guess the lesson here is that if anybody bitches about anything they don't understand then as long as they're some kind of pushy leftist snob then it's OK to capitulate and remove anything that offends their deranged sensitivities.  That's the message you want to send to students.  Just give in.  Just bend over and let the commies do whatever they want, even if the tree in this case is in no way reflective of Christian faith, but rather Cyclone colors.  It seems you can't have anything even slightly resembling Protestant iconography, for which a Christmas tree can be associated with.  I'm surprised the Obama-voters who complained don't try to outlaw mothers hauling a newborn around in a carrier on Ames High School grounds because those things sort of resemble a manger.  What's next?  Outlawing the color red during the month of December?  Where does it end?
