Unhinged Liberal Letters Of The Day

The first one comes from the Des Moines Register:

We, the People, have spoken in removing the justices who dared disagree with us.

We, the People, have spoken against intrusive government in our voting.

We, the People, have spoken before, in Shay's rebellion in Massachusetts in 1786 against intrusive government.

We, the People, have spoken against intrusive government in the Whisky Rebellion on the old frontier in the 1790s.

We, the People, have spoken against intrusive government in certain states seceding from the Union in 1861. Yes, We, the People, have spoken.

Too bad all we ever read of our constitution was those first three words.

Hey, look everybody!  Robert Farr got his letter published in the Ames Tribune, too!

Then there's a letter in the Iowa City Press-Citizen that isn't about the Iowa Supreme Court Justice ousters:

I'm 15 years old, and I can't understand why Iowans were so stupid to vote for Terry Branstad for governor. A while ago, Branstad screwed up Iowa's economy as governor, and now he is going to do the same thing all over again.

This country is in a recession thanks to the Republicans. (George W. Bush screwed up the economy and threw it in Obama's lap.) Now Branstad is going to do the same thing to Iowa.

While I'm no Branstad defender, I don't see how Branstad "screwed up the economy" during the 1980s and 1990s.  Branstad did raise the sales tax a couple of times, never reigned in our insane state tax code, allowed a pork failure like the Iowa Communications Network (ICN), expanded gambling, and really was never interested in cutting the size of government.

So this country is in a recession because of the Republicans?  Really, ya little snot-nosed brat?  Are you joking?  Or did your stupid partisan parents program your brain, kid?  You sound like a robot.  While Republicans deserve some blame for not holding the line on spending and earmarks in the early 2000s, who has been running the show for a while now?  Where was the Recovery Summer?  How is that stimulus working out?  Has anybody received one of those Obama tax cuts lately?  What was the unemployment rate under Bush vs Obama?  And if you're a small business owner, what do you think about the impending Obamacare rules?
