Does Anybody Trust What Erskine Bowles Has To Say About Anything?

Does anybody really trust what Deficit-Reduction Panel leader Erskine Bowles has to say about anything?

Bowels has an Iowa connection that I'll get to in a minute.

Now you have Irksome Bowels going around saying that such insanely stupid ideas as ending the mortgage interest deduction, gutting the military, and raising taxes are the result of him talking to a bunch of Republicans.  Really?  Which Republicans?  Arlen Specter?  Susan Collins?  Jim Jeffords?  Somebody like that?

This egghead Bowels has a brief history with draining money as a board member of McLeod USA between 1999 and 2001 ($4.3 million per year), leaving three months before the company declared bankruptcy.  He also has a checkered past as a partner in Forstmann Little which drained $100 million in pension money for state workers in Connecticut.

Erskine Bowles helped run that Iowa company into the ground, and destroyed the fortunes of many as a result while he profited handsomely and got to walk away.  This is exactly the kind of douchebag that Obama would put in charge of something.  Thank you, lamestream media, for failing to point this out.
