Democrats Barely Hold On To The Iowa Senate After The 2010 Elections

Obviously, the fact that Republicans fell 71 votes short in one State Senate election and thus giving the Democrats a 26-24 majority is the fault of those damn teabaggers, Sarah Palin, that witch from New Jersey, Rand Paul, and other Faux News watchers.

Never mind the fact that Iowa Democrats lost Terrace Hill, turned their 56 seat House majority into a 40 seat minority, had 3 State Supreme Court Justices removed, made Secretary of State Michael Mauro unemployed, and is now missing the increasingly bloated Staci Appel following her landslide failure.  All while spending nearly twice as much as Republicans.

Whoa, back up, did I read that right?  Southern Iowa (in particular Appanoose, Wayne, and Davis counties) voted Republican?  Did hell freeze over?  I guess it did.

This means that Iowa is stuck again with Mike "Kiss My Ass!!! Fuck You!!!" Gronstal as the Senate Barely-Majority Leader.  Gronstal is always entertaining, like watching your hand being stuck in a blender.
