Branstad Gets To Pick New Iowa Supreme Court Justices, Sort Of

The Cedar Rapids Gazette is reporting that Terry Branstad will get to pick who the three new Iowa Supreme Court Justices will be following the non-retention vote of three judges at the recent election.

What's missing from the Associated Press story that the Gazette printed is any mention of the political makeup of the Iowa Judicial Nominating Commission, which as we all know is a 15 member panel comprised of 86% Democrats and 7% Republicans.
