Not content with calling businesses "robber barons" earlier today, John Edwards is cutting and running from the Fortress Investment Group, a hedge fund which has a shitload (at least $15 million) of Edwards' investments, and which also paid Edwards almost $500,000 last year in consulting fees, and whose executives have donated more than $150,000 to his campaign.
Apparently, Fortress Investment Group owns a part of a number of subprime mortgage lending companies, including GreenTree Servicing. And those subprime mortgage lenders are foreclosing on some people in the Nawlins area who didn't pay their mortgages after they were hit by the Katrina hurricane that Karl Rove created with his special super secret CIA weather machine that was invented by Halliburton.
Or something like that.
You know, why would anybody in their right mind vote for somebody like John Edwards? He's a total fucking hypocrite rich asshole who only hooked up with Fortress in order to avoid paying his taxes.
John Edwards is the kind of caricature that many Democrats think Republicans are. How any Democrat worth their salt could eat Edwards' bullshit up and still swallow is beyond my comprehension.
