District Judge Robert Hanson Makes Up His Own Laws

Looks like District Judge Robert Hanson made up his own law concerning "gender neutral" marriage in Iowa.

Iowa Code 595.2.1 is clear: Only a marriage between a male and a female is valid.

I'm actually in favor of gay marriage, although not by having it forced down our throats via judges and lawsuits. In other words, I agree with Dick Cheney.

Mainstream Iowan points out that Hanson is yet another Tom Vilsack appointee. I wonder how Vilsack's bought-and-paid-for Iowa Supreme Court will rule?

If you let rogue judges get their ways, very soon they'll be rewriting the Iowa Code because marriage laws aren't Metazoa-neutral.

Update: The Tax Update Blog has a picture showing a lack of media vehicles in front of the Polk County Courthouse this morning. Hmmm.....
